  • Has led and participated in leadership training on hand hygiene in Mexico and other Latin American countries

 

Currently a professor and researcher, and coordinator of the Master’s Program in Quality and Patient Safety Assurance at the University of Guadalajara.

Biographical Sketch

She earned her Medical Degree from the University of Guadalajara and holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health from the National Institute of Public Health in Mexico.

At the national level, she coordinated Patient Safety strategies at the General Directorate of Quality and Health Education and has served as an evaluator of quality models in both public and private health institutions.

She was the coordinator of the Quality Program for the Jalisco State Health Department.

She has worked as a WHO consultant in health quality, patient safety, and infection control.

She has contributed to the updating of Official Mexican Standards.

She has given lectures at national and international conferences.

She has participated in the generation of knowledge in the fields of healthcare quality, patient safety, and infection prevention and control.

She is an instructor of the WHO’s Multimodal Hand Hygiene Improvement Strategy, endorsed by the University Hospitals of Geneva, Switzerland.

She has led and participated in training sessions for hand hygiene leaders in Mexico and other Latin American countries.

She is a professor and researcher coordinating the Master’s Program in Quality and Patient Safety Assurance at the University of Guadalajara.

She acts as an independent consultant on quality improvement strategies in health, health and health and safety.

She is the founder and former President of the Mexican Association for Quality in Health and Patient Safety (AMEXCASEP).
