Biographical Sketch
Dr. Yessica Guadalupe Román Félix is originally from Guerrero and has worked for the State Health Department for over 20 years.
She holds two Master’s Degrees: one in Educational Sciences and another in Health Auditing.
She is certified in White, Yellow, and Green Belt by Lean Six Sigma International and completed a Diploma in Quality Improvement, Patient Safety and Health Leadership from the Institute for Healthcare Improvement Open School (IHI).
She also completed the Diploma in Strengthening the Competencies of Quality Managers in the Health Sector in Guerrero, taught by the consulting and coaching firm Grupo Calinter, S.C.
She has been a member of the Accreditation and Quality Evaluators Network and has participated as an evaluator for the National Quality Award in multiple editions.
She started her career as Program Manager for the Citizen Oversight Program and others within the SICALIDAD framework, eventually being appointed as the State Head of Quality in Guerrero, serving for six years (2015–2021).
She is currently a Founding Member and Vice President of AMEXCASEP.
